Sun shines on city

THE Gladstone region came alive this weekend following last week's rain.

The sun was shining and the community was out and about, making the most of the beautiful weather.

Benaraby Raceway was busy with the JP Racing Eighth Mile Drag Racing and the Gladstone Districts Dirtriders Club meet.

Many more spectators headed out to the Rigby Park Hockey Fields in support of men's cancer research.

Brides and grooms-to-be made their way to the Gladstone Region Wedding Expo down by the marina.

As usual there was an array of sporting games to choose from.

Whether it was soccer, Aussie rules, volleyball or basketball every team enjoyed the good weather.
