Students powering future debate
MORE than 80 students from seven Queensland Minerals and Energy Academy schools in the Gladstone region have taken part in a debate on energy choices and sustainability.
At CQUniversity yesterday, the Year 11 and 12 students worked with first-year engineering students and industry representatives at the annual Energy for the Future Forum.
Each team was assigned a country and had to determine the best energy source to power that country for the next 50 years. Each country then presented its findings and awarded an energy contract, while also defending their energy choice.
