Storms deliver heavy rain to parts of Darling Downs

THERE are reports of localised flooding across the outskirts of Toowoomba after storms delivered heavy rain to the region last night.

Only 7mm was recorded at the Toowoomba Airport last night, but there were heavier falls in outlying areas.

Several roads in the Aubigny area have water over them.

There was a report of more than 100mm falling at Brookstead.

Dalby (21mm), Oakey (36mm), Pittsworths (56mm) and Inglewood (11mm) received the most rain for the Darling Downs.

Intense lightning storms were reported at Wandoan.
