Stolen plates used in fuel drive-off

BUNDABERG Police are investigating the theft of fuel from a service station on Mount Perry Road, Bundaberg North.

At about 5.50pm on Thursday, June 25 a silver vehicle bearing stolen Queensland registration plates 779KLW entered the service station.

The male driver filled the vehicle with fuel before driving off without paying.

The registration plates were stolen from Mackay sometime between Sunday, June 21 and Wednesday, June 24.

The vehicle is described as:

• Silver sedan with side skirts
• Silver mag wheel rims
• Dent under the left hand tail light
• Bearing stolen plates QLD 779KLW

The male person is described as:
• 180cm (tall)
• Thin build
• Fair complexion
• Wearing a white singlet, grey three-quarter pants and grey hoodie

Police are seeking public assistance to help identify this person who may be able to assist with inquiries or the whereabouts of the vehicle involved.
