Stolen car engulfed by flames

ON SATURDAY at 11.30pm, Kingaroy Police were called to a vehicle fire on Corindale Rd.

They found a Ford Sedan completely engulfed by flames.

Investigations have revealed the driver of the vehicle drifted off the road, before abandoning the vehicle.

The cause of the fire appears to be the hot exhaust setting fire to grass under the vehicle.

Initially inquiries to locate the owner at the time were unsuccessful.

Police later received a complaint from a 26-year-old Kingaroy woman that the vehicle involved was hers and had been stolen when she was at a party that night.

Investigations are ongoing.
