No word on Stockland store, but it won't have jewellery
SPECULATION surrounds the announcement of a new retail store in Stockland Gladstone, following the closure of Cellarbrations bottle shop on Sunday.
Gladstone residents have taken to social media to express their concern about the announcement, with many suggesting a jewellery store would replace the bottle shop.
A new Angus and Coote store already is planned for the former Suzanne Grae site.
This morning Stockland centre manager Amanda Brookes said the centre was still negotiating with prospective tenants.
Ms Brookes confirmed the new tenant would not be opening a jewellery store.
On Sunday it was announced Cellarbrations would not renew its contract with the centre.
It's believed it was not viable for the store to continue operating.
