PRODUCTS such as foundation, blush, mascara and eye shadow are all commonly used by countless women, but how many know how to properly apply them?

Stefan Hair Fashion Gladstone senior stylist and makeup artist, Sam Warren outlined how to create the perfect look in the video above.

A clean canvas is vital for applying makeup.

"We all know, not to prime is a crime," Ms Warren said with a laugh.

Stefan launched a range of makeup last year, stocking basically everything you need.

From photo-face primer to photo finish foundation, Ms Warren said she would highly recommend all the products.

  • When it comes to choosing a foundation, the closest skin colour area to the face is under the fore arm.
  • Apply a concealer to problematic areas after foundation, as it will be easier to find the areas which need to be covered.
