State and Feds finally make Kin Kora roundabout vow

IT'S finally happened!

There has been a positive shift in political decisions regarding Gladstone's contentious Kin Kora roundabout.

It's been the topic of conversation for many years and the grizzles have continued ad infinitum.

But now, with the Federal Coalition and the State Government agreeing to fund a changed intersection, something must happen.

That's if, of course, the Coalition becomes government on Saturday night.

It's a cynical voice that says "funny, these great things seem to be able to be done around election time", but it's not far from the truth, if we look at the promises which have been bandied around in the past couple of weeks.

But the Kin Kora roundabout is a biggie. It's been the major cause of traffic snarl-ups for ages.

The word is that we will have traffic lights to control the traffic, which one would expect would be more efficient than the current setup.

Let's hope the lights are aligned to the new ones near the super clinic.
