Starting to feel like Christmas as trees go up

GLADSTONE residents have shown that the tradition of putting up the Christmas tree on December 1 is still alive.

Local mum Rachel Edwards said she was quite proud with the decorating efforts of her children.

"I gave total control to my eight-year-old Jack and five-year-old Luke this year," she said.

"We usually set up our tree in December or whenever that first weekend rolls around."

Others like Terri Samuel said they couldn't wait to crank up the air-con, enjoy a hot chocolate and carols.
