St Francis fair is 'huge success'

WHO doesn’t love a day at the fair, and it’s all the more sweeter knowing all the money raised goes to a good cause.

While the final numbers had yet to be crunched at time of print St Francis Fair organiser Christine Wells said the fair was a huge success.

“It was exceptionally busy,” said Ms Wells.

More than 2000 people attended the fundraising event with the show bag and second-hand books stalls clear favourites.

“We had community-donated show bags and of course the lolly ones and pirate and princess ones.”

Ms Wells said profits from the fair would go towards getting interactive whiteboards for the school as well as educational resources requested by the teachers and a fitness obstacle course.

Ms Wells said she wished to thank all the sponsors and volunteers that helped out at the event.
