Spooky spa: Readers debate whether 'ghost' is just bubbles
SOME readers have embraced the paranormal after we shared a photo featuring a ghostly figure yesterday, while others maintain there's "no such thing as ghosts".
Teena Fleetwood was celebrating her daughter's upcoming 21st birthday when her husband snapped this "ghost" leaning close to her face at the Lagoon 1770 resort at Agnes Water last Friday.
Reader opinion on Facebook was divided over whether the "ghost" was really a supernatural presence or just bubbles and a trick of the light.
Do you believe in ghosts?
This poll ended on 04 November 2015.
Yes, there's much more to this world than we know.
No, ghosts are the product of imagination and grainy photos.
I don't know, but I'm open to the possibility.
This is not a scientific poll. The results reflect only the opinions of those who chose to participate.
Coralee Taylor is a believer: "Looks like a ghost to me, very spooky and yes there are such things as ghosts. Some see them others don't depends on your open mindedness."
Kate Bauer wasn't so convinced: "Am I the only one that sees it's bubbles lol."
Others soon joined her sceptical stance.
Nina Rose Davis: "First thing I thought… The light through the bubbles?"
Sandra Hill: "No such thing as ghosts."
Anette Coles: "Looks like the steam has shadowed the girl in the middle, you can see the ear is the same and some of her hand."
Teena Fleetwood, who was in the photo, replied: "Kate and Nina, I thought it was steam and light at first, but when I looked closer there is a hand on my shoulder and an appearance of a facial features and a hairline."
Brianna Sherrington was the only person to guess why a ghost was haunting a spa: "They obviously wanted to join the party.... dah lol"
Cindy Dittman just didn't want to know: "Duck no... I can't even look at the photo I'm such a scaredy cat."
The Gladstone region is no stranger to paranormal activity, with multiple sightings of a ghostly woman on Gladstone Benaraby Rd earlier this year.
