Richard Ashcroft

English singer-songwriter Richard Ashcroft was the lead singer and occasional guitarist of The Verve until their split in 1999. After this, Ashcroft became a successful solo artist, releasing three UK top three solo albums. He rejoined The Verve in 2007 but when the band broke up again in 2009, Ashcroft founded a new group, RPA & The United Nations of Sound.

Fat Freddies Drop

Tehimana Kerr, Joe Lindsay, Chris Faiumu, Iain Gordon, Dallas Tamaira, Toby Laing, and Scott Towers make up Fat Freddy’s Drop, a seven-piece band from Wellington, New Zealand. The band was formed in late 1990s as a jam band but became the members' sole focus and the band gained international recognition in 2003 after their single Midnight Marauders.

Band of Horses

American Ben Bridwell formed Band of Horses, previously known as Horses in Seattle in 2004. In 2005, the band’s first full-length album, Everything All the Time, was recorded. The band's current lineup features Bridwell, Ryan Monroe, Tyler Ramsey, Bill Reynolds and Creighton Barrett.

Broken Social Scene

Canadian indie rock band Broken Social Scene was formed in 1999 by Kevin Drew and Brendan Canning. The band is not so much a band but a musical collective with sometimes seven to more than 18 members. Core duo Drew and Canning recorded and released the band's debut album, Feel Good Lost in 2001.

Band of Skulls

Band of Skulls, previously known as Fleeing New York is made up of three founding members, Russell Marsden (guitar and vocals), Emma Richardson (bass and vocals) and Matt Hayward (drums). They released their debut album, Baby Darling Doll Face Honey in late 2008 and their single I Know What I Am was selected for the coveted iTunes Single of the Week campaign in April.
