Sparks fly to final

SPARKS player Tarryn Job described her team's victory at the weekend as "awesome".

"The girls played so, so well," she said. "It really all came together. I'm very proud of them."

Sparks thrashed Souths in the Saturday semi-final with a strong 6-nil win.

Job was thrilled with how they played.

"Everyone did a great job, but Hannah and Mac were standouts," she said. "Mac scored a couple of goals and Hannah really directed the play."

The Sparks will now face the Meteors to battle it out in this weekend's grand final.

"The past two times we've played against the Meteors have been very close," Job said. "They've been excellent games of hockey both times.

"But if we play like we played yesterday, I'm very, very confident." Job said the Sparks have been evolving well as a team over the season.

"The potential's always been there, but it really feels like now it's coming together," she said.

"Let's just hope we peak at the right time."
