Crash on Bruce Highway near North Lakes

Southbound lanes of Bruce Hwy reopened near North Lakes

UPDATE: Both southbound lanes of the Bruce Highway near North Lakes are now clear after an accident this morning.

11:30AM : A CAR and truck have left the Bruce Highway near North Lakes, causing the closure of both southbound lanes.

Police believe the vehicles left the asphalt at 10.45am and rolled.

According to police, they are yet to work out what caused the incident.

Several hundred metres before the crash site, another truck has become stuck on the centre median strip.

Drivers are now being sent on a detour through Petrie along ANZAC Avenue.

Police suggest motorists avoid the area by taking alternative routes if possible.
