South Trees Creek Bridge reopened

SOUTH Trees Creek Bridge was reopened to traffic at 6pm Monday after the lowering of flood waters caused by heavy rains associated with ex-Tropical Cyclone Oswald.

The reopening of the bridge opens the way for motor vehicle travel between Gladstone and Boyne Island-Tannum Sands.

Fingerboard Road has also opened, allowing local traffic only to travel between Agnes Water and Miriam Vale with use by heavy vehicles prohibited.

The town of Lowmead now also has access to Miriam Vale via John Clifford Way.

Motorists are advised to take care when travelling on these and any other roads within the Gladstone region.
