Something for all kids on offer across Gladstone

IT'S the day state school students have been waiting for - the final day of school for the year.

As the lengthy Christmas school holidays begin, the joy on the faces of Gladstone West Primary School students could not be missed yesterday as they ran out the gates.

The students were clearly ready to have a great time over their Christmas break.

It was obvious students had been thoroughly looking forward to the upcoming school holidays and had great plans to keep themselves occupied.

Their excitement was justifiable, with everything Gladstone has on offer.

Businesses across the region have excelled in providing students with quality activities, catering for all ages and interests.

Many arts and craft classes and workshops are organised for youngsters.

Bunnings Warehouse and Scrapbooking Fantasies, on Toolooa St, have both organised hands-on activities for the more crafty children.

Meanwhile, Tondoon Botanic Gardens is offering educational activities following their popularity last school holidays.

SunFest - one of Gladstone region's favourite summer holiday programs - is back again.

Tickets are on sale now and selling fast.

The program includes a range of fun activities, catering for interests and ages from 10-17 years.

This and more has left the kids of Gladstone with little time for boredom and lazing about on the couch.

Youngsters across the region are sure to have a great school holiday.
