Smoke haze warning near Mt Morgan as burn is carried out

RESIDENTS near Mt Morgan have been advised they may be affected by smoke haze as a hazard reduction burn is carried out this afternoon.

The Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service will light the burn to reduce fire risk as part of Operation Cool Burn.

The burn will be in the Dee Range and Bouldercombe conservation areas.

Resident have been asked to take necessary precautions.
