UPDATE: More smoke pouring off GLNG flare

UPDATE, Saturday 11.30am:

MORE smoke was seen pouring off the Santos GLNG flare today as part of the commissioning of train 2 at the LNG plant.

EARLIER: 

A huge plume of smoke was seen coming from the Santos GLNG flare on Curtis Island this afternoon.

GLNG issued a flaring notification on Monday warning "dark smoke" could be visible with the plant commissioning its second train.

The notification doesn't say how long the increased flaring activity is likely to continue.
