Driver rolls down embankment after falling asleep

A DRIVER allegedly fell asleep at the wheel on Don Young Dr at 10.45pm on Tuesday and rolled down a 2m embankment.

The 19-year-old man from Calliope was the only person in the car at the time and didn't suffer any serious injuries.

The Suzuki Swift he was driving had extensive damage to the roof, front and rear.

The man was issued a notice to appear in court for not driving with due care.
