Six properties raided and six arrested in drug crackdown

A GLADSTONE Police operation dedicated to fighting the growing drug problem has struck a new blow with raids across town.

Members of the Gladstone Police division and the Brisbane Dog Squad raided more than six properties on Monday in a crackdown on supply and possession.

Six people were arrested and charged with various supply and possession offences related to methamphetamine and cannabis drugs and paraphernalia after the raids.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Chris Lindsay said more than $10,000 in drugs and cash had been seized, including methamphetamines with a street value of about $4000.

Detective Lindsay said the operation, dubbed Prophecy, would continue.

"We are constantly reacting to community information," he said.
