SISP has taken nearly two years

A BRIEF was issued on October 29, 2008 by the Department of Infrastructure and Planning for the preparation of a Social Infrastructure Strategic Plan (SISP) for the Gladstone Regional Council area.

This was responded to by the project team in a proposal document dated November 19, 2008.

In April, 2009, the first project team plan update was released. The SISP was expected to be released in December 2009.

However, more time was needed and it wasn’t until 18 months later in June, 2010, that the report was complete.

It took another four months until the plan was released this week by the Queensland Minister for Infrastructure and Planning Stirling Hinchliffe.
