Crash on Hanson after driver thought to have fallen asleep

UPDATE 8am

A 22-year-old male behind the wheel of a Holden Colarado dual cab crashed into the fence line along Hanson Rd this morning after he is thought to have fallen asleep behind the wheel and lost control.

Police were called to the scene at 6.08 am, a tow truck arrived to move the ute at 7.10 am.

The driver did not sustain any injuries and did not go to hospital.

He will face court at a later date for driving without due care and attention.

A WHITE ute has crashed into the fence line along Hanson  Rd early this morning.

The crash took place meters from McDonald's CBD.

Police are currently at the scene, a tow truck arrived to move the ute around 7.10 am.

The road has been blocked off to vehicles and pedestrians.

The cause of the crash is unknown at this point in time.
