Should the Brisbane Lions and Gold Coast Suns be in the AFL?

I THINK the AFL should continue to have two teams from Queensland with the Brisbane Lions and Gold Coast Suns.

Both are established AFL clubs and the Lions have had a golden era, having won grand finals in 2001, 2002 and 2003. Perhaps if it had played its preliminary final in 2004 at the GABBA instead of the MCG then a fourth could have been possible.

Full credit to Port for stopping a "four-peat" 12 years ago.

Tasmania simply is not big enough and the state does not have the money to fund an AFL team.

The AFL has said this a number of times and the people of Tasmania already support two AFL teams who play there regularly.

They are the North Melbourne Kangaroos and Hawthorn Hawks.

Both Queensland teams have been hit with injury and if players from both sides didn't leave to head back to their home states, both sides would be in a very different situation.
