Should Ashes team be allowed back? Julie Bishop weighs in

FOREIGN Minister Julie Bishop has tossed out some of her trademark dry humour on morning television, after she was asked if the shocking performance of our cricketers means they ought to be stripped of their citizenship.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT

Quizzed by Sunrise hosts Sam Armytage and David Koch, Ms Bishop said the thought had "crossed her mind".

"I'm not sure there's anything I can do except cheer them on," she said from Kuala Lumpur.

"We do have great expectations of our cricket team but I think we should let them come home. I really do.

"I think we should let them come home and face the music here."

We asked Julie Bishop MP if our cricketers should be allowed to come home. Her response is brilliant... #sun7
