Shore spruce-up

THE Conservation Volunteers are at it again.

But this time, the volunteers are cleaning a stretch of beach a bit further afield.

Volunteer engagement officer Tracey French said a clean-up of Kemp Beach, near Rockhampton, was set for November 6 and 20.

She urged Gladstone residents to help the Conservation Volunteers rid the beach of debris.

"A lot of Gladstone locals travel there because it's a beautiful beach," she said.

"We're getting it ready for summer."

The clean-up will start on both days at 9am and run until noon.

Volunteers are asked to meet at the North End of Kemp Beach.

To volunteer, contact Ms French on 4972 4969.
