AFTER more than 20 years located at 98 Aerodrome Rd, the Sunshine Coast's leading fitness equipment retailer Aussie Fitness Equipment have now moved to a larger showroom on Wises Road, in Maroochydore.
Formerly known as Elite Fitness, Aussie Fitness has secured a stand-alone retail showroom property commanding a huge presence cornering Kayleigh Drive and Wises Road, at the busy intersection of The Zone IGA Marketplace Shopping Centre.
Previously occupied by Danny's Desks and Chairs, the property is somewhat of an icon due to its prominent position and loud, bright green building colour.
Ryan Parry from CBRE negotiated the lease on behalf of the property owners, who also own several other assets along Wises Road.
"We'd worked with the operators of Aussie Fitness Equipment for a number of years, as they were happy to wait for the right property to cater for the exceptional growth experienced through both their online sales and the commercial fitness market," Mr Parry said.
The property at 1 Kayleigh Drive consists of 1000sq m of freehold land with a 450sq m modern retail showroom, two rear roller doors and 10 exclusive use car parks on site.
The new tenant committed to a five-year lease that started in March 2017 and will pay about $100,000 per annum.
Founding owner of Aussie Fitness Equipment, Mark Peacock commented: "We'd considered moving the operation to a new larger facility over the past few years, but it wasn't an easy task finding a property that catered for both an in-store retail showroom experience and back of house distribution for online orders"

Wises Road has evolved into a very tightly held commercial precinct over the past decade, aided by the extremely popular IGA Marketplace and will soon be bolstered by the new development at 50 Wises Road, which will consist of over 5000sq m of commercial space over two levels and is due for completion in the third quarter of 2017.
