Shake it for good health with Gladstone's zumba queen
SHE is fit, looks fantastic and is inspiring others through dance.
Liné Corfixen is Gladstone's Zumba queen, twisting and shaking locals to better health.
"It sounds cliché but it really is a workout in disguise," she said.
Denmark born, Liné immigrated to Australia in 1982.
She discovered Zumba about a year ago and teaches on Monday and Wednesday nights - in the dark with laser lights.
"I'm an ex-dancer. I danced all through my formative years," Liné said.
"Basically, felt incredibly insecure in a gym environment, discovered Zumba, fell in love and the rest is history."
Spring officially kicks off with September on Sunday and Zumba Fitness is calling on Gladstone residents to get inspired and register for the 30 Day Zumba challenge.
Locals can register at zumbachallenge.com.au and everyone who signs up has the chance to take home a grand prize including a $1,000 Westfield voucher and a 12-month subscription to Women's Fitness.
Runner-up prizes also will be awarded.
