Dogs find new homes

SEVEN dogs have found new homes after a successful Dog Adoption Day worthy of a huge tail wag.

Friends of RSPCA Gladstone dog foster care coordinator Tammy Driessen said she was deliriously happy with the outcome of yesterday's monthly adoption day.

“It was really busy with plenty of people coming out,” Ms Driessen said.

Some of the dogs lucky enough to find new homes were Nina, Max, Rumpole, Marshall and Peggy.

Marshall, a miniature fox terrier cross jack russell terrier, and Peggy, a kelpie cross, found a new home through Calliope's Bonnie Taylor and Anthony Coleiro.

They will now join the couple's own dogs Willy and Knuckles on their 11-acre property.

“There's plenty of room to run around,” Anthony said.
