SES crews work to get into isolated Baffle Creek areas
SES crews are working to establish access routes into isolated areas in the Baffle Creek area.
The Agnes Water Community Centre is being established as an evacuation centre for those in the Baffle Creek area.
Residents have been advised that if they have no phone connection but do have internet, they can private message the Gladstone Region Local Disaster Management Group Facebook page to advise of isolated location in the Baffle area, any urgent requirements and how many people are with them.
People who do have a phone connection are asked to contact the SES on 132 500 and provide location details.
Mayor Gail Sellers said everyone was working as quickly as they could, and a rapid assessment team would be in the area today.
Gladstone Regional Council also is organising a helicopter for the Rosedale area to determine what is needed and then return with supplies.
