Separate fires blaze south of Mt Larcom and in Targinnie

QUEENLAND Fire and Rescue Service crews attended a grass fire about 20 to 25 kilometres south of Mt Larcom, on Wednesday night.

The fire was burning safely at Mount Alma Rd and Bruce Hwy on Thursday morning, but a fire communications spokesperson said at 7.15am that it was expected that crews will be attending the area once again during the day.

A separate fire has also been blazing in Taginnie.

The status of the fire was listed as "going" on Thursday morning and located at Targinnie Rd and Wilson Rd.

A fire communications spokesperson said that the walking track to Mt Larcom was closed due to the fire.
