It takes a special kind of idiot to ruin sport for kids
WHAT sort of an idiot does it take to ruin hundreds of young kids' sporting lives?
That's exactly what some idiot(s) did at the weekend when they decided that it was good sport to race around the junior footy grounds beside the Marley Brown Oval, and dig massive ruts with their tyres.
It's a senseless act where the vast majority of us would just shake our heads wondering what on earth possessed a person to do such a thing.
Why would they do it? What satisfaction is there?
On the weekend I was speaking to a lady who had left her car in a car park overnight and came back to find vandals had done damage to the car which cost almost $10,000 to repair.
She couldn't understand the thinking.
"I could almost understand if they'd taken it for a joyride, but to just smash in the headlights and the doors to me makes no sense at all."
Someone will know who created this damage.
That person has a community responsibility to dob the perpetrator in - even if he's a mate. Such acts should never be tolerated.
