Senior cop from Crime Command under investigation

A DETECTIVE Senior Sergeant from State Crime Command has been suspended from official duty with the Queensland Police Service.

The officer, 47, is subject to a Crime and Misconduct Commission investigation into the inappropriate release of information.

The Queensland Police Service said in a statement issued today this does not mean that the allegations against the officer have been substantiated.

"In keeping with our commitment to high standards of behaviour, transparency and accountability, we have an undertaking to inform the public when an officer faces disciplinary processes involving stand down or suspension," it said.
