Second Aussie bloke keyed up to be the new Bachelor

HE CAN sell property, but can he sell himself as a top catch?

Perth real estate auctioneer Blake Garvey is the second Aussie bloke to sign up for Channel 10's dating show The Bachelor.

A bevy of 24 single women will compete for the affections of the 31-year-old on the show.

The keen sportsman, who stands at 196cm tall, ticked all the boxes for the show's producers.

And his deep baritone voice, likened to that of Barry White, will be sure to get a few hearts fluttering.

"During the casting process, we asked thousands of eligible young women what they were looking for and Blake met every criteria and more," said Ten's head of entertainment and factual programming Stephen Tate.

"We met Blake quite early in the casting process and he instantly set the level. By the end of the national casting tour, he was still head and shoulders above the rest. We are so fortunate he has agreed to look for love on The Bachelor Australia."

According to his profile on the Acton Carine Glades Real Estate website, Garvey has also put his booming voice to use in radio announcing and commercial voiceovers.

The first season of the pseudo-reality show was a social media sensation and an online viewing hit for Ten.

Despite constant media scrutiny and speculation, the first Australian Bachelor Tim Robards is reportedly still with his girlfriend, Sydney lawyer Anna Heinrich, whom he met on the show.

The second season of The Bachelor will air later this year on Channel 10.
