Missing man found and receiving medical treatment

9.10am: REPORTS indicate the man SES and police were searching for this morning at Kershaw Gardens has been located.

Rockhampton police Senior Sergeant Mel Adams said the man had been found at another location and was receiving care. 

8.45am: A search is underway this morning in Rockhampton for a man reported missing.

Troy Evans, 33, was reported missing yesterday afternoon with family and police concerned for his welfare.

A search overnight failed to locate any sign of him.

The search has resumed this morning involving 23 State Emergency Service volunteers and is focusing on the area of Kershaw Gardens.

Mr Evans is described as 190cm tall and of Aboriginal appearance. He is believed to be wearing a black cap and black shirt.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen Mr Evans to contact Crime Stoppers.

7.17am: SES and police are currently conducting a search of Kershaw Gardens and surrounding areas for a missing person.

Rockhampton police Senior Sergeant Mel Adams said crews are searching for a 33-year-old male who was reported missing at 5.30pm yesterday.

She said the man is described as about 190cm, possibly wearing a black shirt and black cap, and possibly has a goatee.

Snr Sgt Adams said crews started searching for the man yesterday, but stopped when it got dark, and resumed at first light this morning.
