Scouts build throwing machines
THEY'RE small but there's no doubt they are powerful.
Junior scouts this week braved the cold winter breeze. With help from various team leaders and helpers, one-by-one the scouts hauled long pieces of wood from a store room under the main scouts' hall.
Compiling rope, they were challenged on their knot tying skills.
Constructing two square frames was a task but making the supporting structures was all too easy. And the catapult thrilled all of the kids who loved launching things in the air.
