Young scooter rider and car collide on Dawson Rd

A TEENAGE boy has been injured after crashing into a car while on a scooter.

The incident happened at 2.52pm on Wednesday on Dawson Rd. It's believed a ute was coming out of a business car park when the collision occurred.

The boy, 14, reportedly suffered a laceration to the head, but was conscious and was transported to Gladstone Hospital.

Police went to Dicey's Hotel soon after the incident to check CCTV footage.

In other police news, a break and enter occurred between the hours of 10am on January 25 and 8pm on January 28 at a unit in Beasley Street.

Jewellery was reported stolen, and it remains unclear how entry to the unit was gained.
