THE German schoolgirl brainwashed to become an ISIS bride could face trial for her actions as it emerges she was found with a baby boy in her bomb-ravaged fortress.

Linda Wenzel, 16, and the malnourished tot were found in the ruins of Mosul last week before being transferred to Baghdad, The Sunday Times reports.

An Iraqi Special Operations Forces soldier said: "I don't know for sure that it is her baby, but she keeps him with her always.

"I don't think she regretted joining ISIS because she looked angry and she refused any help that we provide."

Linda could still face trial in Iraq after reportedly admitting to killing Iraqi soldiers after she was tracked down by troops hiding in a tunnel.

The teen fled her home in Pulsnitz after her mum Katharina started a relationship with a school caretaker following the end of her marriage.

She had been brainwashed by a jihadi she met on the internet who persuaded her to join ISIS in war-ravaged Syria.

She took her mum's credit card and flew from Berlin to Turkey before making her way to the so-called caliphate.

Now The Mail Online reports she may be put on trial in Iraq.

Lorenz Haase, the German prosecutor, said: "There is the possibility that Linda might be put on trial in Iraq. She might be expelled for being a foreigner or, because she is a minor reported missing in Germany, she could be handed over to Germany."

Pictures shared on social media showed the girl being escorted by Iraqi security forces after they discovered her alive under rubble.

She looked pale, afraid and covered in dust wearing a colourful scarf around her neck.

She was initially mistaken for a kidnapped Yazidi girl because of her lack of Arabic.

Her parents are now reportedly travelling to Iraq.

An anonymous officer in Iraq's elite counter terrorism unit told The Telegraph said she was a sniper for ISIS.

He said: "We found her with a gun in her hand next to her Chechen husband, who was then killed by Iraqi forces in a firefight. She said she had killed a number of our men in the battle."

Her schoolfriends in Pulsnitz, near Dresden, have revealed how Linda became insecure and unhappy after her mum moved in with caretaker Thomas Weiss.

In May last year the troubled teenager made contact on the internet with an Islamist preacher in Hamburg who sent her a copy of the Koran.

Christina, 16, said: "It seemed to offer her answers in a confused life.

"Last summer, shortly before we broke up, she began leaving home with a small bag in which she had an Islamic headscarf and long flowing robes which she donned to cover up all her skin. There were some arguments with staff."
