Sports equipment for school

PUT your running shoes on because the Coles Sports for Schools program is now in full swing.

South State School has been hard at work collecting the Coles tokens, and with a box full already students are well on their way to getting some new sports equipment.

Colleen Tribe, from South, said the community had been extremely supportive of the initiative.

“All the parents and the community have really got involved. Even past parents have come in with their tokens. It is really great to see everyone supporting the school,” she said.

“The kids are all very excited about the initiative and can't wait to get some new equipment.

“We have just built a brand new hall and to get some new equipment would be fantastic. We will be going for the basketball, volleyball, netball and soccer stuff first.”

To help out your local schools, simply spend over $10 at Coles to receive your token and drop them in at any participating school.

Entries close on October 31.
