Sixty students on board as bus, ute collide at roundabout
IT WAS a frightening ride home for a busload of local students when their school bus collided with a vehicle on the notorious Kin Kora roundabout on Wednesday.
A Queensland police representative said the collision occurred at 3.30pm.
"There were about 60 students on the bus," the spokesman said.
A mother, who did not wish to be named, was driving past the roundabout at the time of the crash.
Her three children, who attend Gladstone State High School, were on the bus.
She said she believed the bus driver had failed to give way, claiming the bus "didn't even slow down".
Police are investigating. The bus company could not be reached for comment.
