Santos to close doors on Goondoon St

SANTOS will close the doors on its Goondoon St office for the last time this Friday.

Since 2009 the shopfront has dealt with more than 15,000 enquiries, averaging 20 per day when construction on the Curtis Island LNG plant began.

But those numbers have dropped and there is only one staff member left in the CBD office.

Santos still has offices on Bensted Rd where it will move its community representative.

The height of the LNG construction phase there was anywhere between 50 to 150 staff related to the project working out of offices on Goondoon St.

However, as each plant has become operational, many of those positions are now based on Curtis Island.
