ELECTRONICS giant Samsung has announced the Australian pricing and availability for the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ and Galaxy Note 5.

The new devices offer 5.7-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display, better battery life and charging.

"With a polished glass finish and curved edge designs, the Galaxy S6 edge+ and Galaxy Note 5 combine power, performance and beauty,'' Samsung said in a statement released on Tuesday.

"The Galaxy S6 edge+ integrates an innovative dual edge display, which delivers an amazing viewing and multimedia experience, while the newly designed Galaxy Note 5 offers a wide range of productivity tools including advanced S Pen capabilities.

"Both the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+ smartphones respond to Australian consumer demands for a battery that allows longer hours of usage with features such as ultra power saving and "quick charging technology" ranking high in importance of features when looking to purchase a new smartphone.

"With long lasting battery life and Samsung's most advanced fast charging technology to date, the devices are designed to help Australians stay connected while out and about.

The Australian Galaxy S6 edge+ and Note 5 also feature LTE Cat.9 capabilities.

They also feature Samsung's proprietary 64-bit octa core processor, which helps ensure that the smartphones are fast, powerful, and efficient.

Both Galaxy S6 edge+ and Galaxy Note 5 devices feature 16MP rear-facing and 5MP front-facing cameras and a range of still and video camera features that will deliver stunning shots for photography lovers.

Pricing and Availability

The Galaxy S6 edge+ and the Note 5 will be available for pre-order from 4pm, Tuesday 18 August with an expected on-sale of Friday, 4 September:
