Top of the table Saints smash bottom side Brothers
REIGNING premiers BITS Saints demolished bottom side Brothers 205 points to 22 in Saturday's A-grade match at Boyne Island.
The BITS boys sustained their lead to the last quarter which saw a final score of 31.19 (205) to Brothers 3.4 (22).
Coach Damien Lyon said he was pleased with his team's progress more than the final result.
"The boys stuck to the game plan, sustained their lead and built on it," he said.
Leading goal kicker Luke O'Shea added another six goals to his tally but was pipped on the day by teammate Aaron Fabian who booted seven.
This weekend, BITS take on rivals Gladstone Mudcrabs in the local bout. Now with two wins under the Muddies' belt, Lyon said BITS better be ready.
