Saint keen to make mark after taste of finals success

JONATHON Davies knows a lot of Australia, moving around numerous times in his lifetime.

Now he is in Tannum Sands he is keen to hang around, loving the lifestyle and area he is in.

Originally from South Australia, Davies has also lived for periods of time in Cairns, Brisbane and now locally, finding his way to the BITS AFL Club.

Coming into a team with a rich history of grand final success, Davies wants to continue the trend and get a premiership to call his own.

"I am happy at the moment and would love to win a premiership and keep the tradition going," he said.

"It is going alright so far in a rugby league territory."

Playing a big role as a utility player, Davies is a 194cm part-time ruckman who can impact the game from the very first bounce.

An Adelaide Crows and Brisbane Lions fan, the big man hopes he can stand tall and have a better percentage than the struggling AFL clubs, joking even he loses height when his BITS side loses.

"I am six-four on a good day, I think I am six-three when we lose," he laughed.

While BITS seek the glory of a fourth straight grand final, players like Davies will have to keep the side motivated after a second loss already this season, this time to the Glenmore Bulls.

"We have not had our full strength side since Brothers in round one," he said.
