Safety not at risk
Gladstone firefighters are on strike today along with the rest of their colleagues across the state.
But the firefighters are still on call for emergencies.
The Gladstone firefighters went on strike yesterday between 10am-noon and they will do so again today.
It's an administrative strike, so they will steer clear of their computers.
United Firefighters Union representative Tom Neville explained the industrial action.
"Basically State Government and Queensland Fire and Rescue Service are attacking firefighters' conditions," Mr Neville said.
He said "20-plus" clauses from the current enterprise bargaining agreement were at stake.
