Series of CCTV cameras keep East Shores safe

CCTV surveillance will help keep the newly-opened Gladstone Coal Exporters Maritime Precinct (East Shores) safe.

A series of 24-hour surveillance cameras have been installed and are operational throughout the entire precinct, which opened to the public last Friday.

The new recreational area at Auckland Inlet is open 24 hours a day, with the water play park open from 9am-8pm.

Parking is available at the yacht club end of Flinders Parade near the entrance to the East Shores precinct, and a second car park is located at the Auckland Point Terminal end of Flinders Parade.

The new waterfront precinct has been delivered by Gladstone Ports Corporation in partnership with Wiggins Island Coal Export Terminal.

The two organisations invite the community to celebrate the opening of the precinct at a family fun day on Sunday, November 30.

The free celebration will include a range of entertainment, including musicians, roving entertainers, the hubbub interactive sound playground, face painting and ball games for the kids.
