Council funds help Gladstone's rural roads

FUNDS through the Gladstone Regional Council have gone towards several roads in the area.

The $7,474,084 was the combined contributions from the LNG proponents towards council-controlled roads.

These include:

  •  Pavement Impact Assessments made for project traffic use of bitumen roads used by the projects ($3,341,600)
  •  Upgrade works on generally unsealed rural roads in the region used during pipeline construction works ($1,936.736)
  •  Maintenance works on rural roads during use and reinstatement after use for pipeline construction works ($1,355,748), and
  •  Other works, nearing completion ($840,000).
