Rural crew monitors fire still burning in Boyne Valley

A FIRE caused by a lightning strike a few weeks ago is still burning in an inaccessible area in the Boyne Valley.

A rural fire brigade crew is on the scene monitoring the fire and determining if back burning needs to be carried out in case it spreads.

The fire is near the Gladstone-Monto Rd, near the cross street of O'Sullivan Rd.

There is no threat to property at this stage.
