Long-time league gatekeeper knits up a storm
CHERYLE Naylor has been the gatekeeper for the Gladstone Rugby League for 18 years.
While she waits for people to enter the Briffney Creek Fields she knits.
"I have knitted all of my life," she said. "My grandmother and mother taught me how to knit. My father also knitted, he was a beautiful knitter."
Mrs Naylor gets a lot of pleasure out of knitting and helping other people.
"I knit Trauma Teddies for the Red Cross, things for orphanages overseas and little crosses for the church," she said.
"If anyone wants anything I will do it."
