Gladstone’s RU OK? Day to help prevent suicide in the region

HAVE you spotted a giant yellow question mark in Gladstone?

In August, five phonebook-sized question marks were sent to different corners of the country in the lead-up to RU OK? Day, a suicide prevention initiative that is being held on Thursday.

Last week one of the yellow question marks landed in Gladstone after a 4900km journey from Greenslopes Private Hospital in Brisbane.

GPS tracking pinpointed the question mark to the Night Owl Centre on the Dawson Hwy on Wednesday.

An RU OK Day? Foundation spokesperson said the question mark had taken one month to travel to here.

Workplaces and schools are getting behind RU OK Day? to raise awareness of mental health.
