Adopt a dog this Sunday

OPEN your heart and your home on Sunday by adopting one of the 25 dogs currently being cared for by Friends of RSPCA Gladstone.

The local group will throw open the doors to their Adoption Centre, opposite NRG Power Station, as part of their monthly dog adoption day.

To be held from 9am to midday, local residents have the opportunity to visit the centre and interact with the many cute and cuddly puppies and dogs in need of a new home.

The fourth adoption day to be held by the group, this follows on from the success of last Sunday's cat adoption day which saw 14 cats and kittens find new homes.

“All of these beautiful animals need new homes ... loving families is what they need,” Friends of RSPCA Gladstone publicity officer Judy Whicker said.

Ms Whicker said the group was happy for existing dog owners who found a puppy or dog they liked to bring their pet out for a meet-and-greet to see how they got along.
